I think my best lesson to date would be one that focused on Afl. We were doing a lesson on the holocaust and i asked them to design a memorial to represent all the cruelty and evil that took place. I then gave them an hour to complete this work to their highest standard, when they had finished i gave them a piece of paper where they had to swap their designs and discuss and jot down 2 stars and 1 wish about their partners work. This enabled the children to level their partners work and make sure they had all the apprpriate features in their designs Also if they wanted to add anything extra after this they could. As a plenary i asked a series of questions using the traffic light cards which i made appropriate to the topic they had been studying. This then enabled me to build any misconceptions right and build it into my next lesson with them on the following week.
